Moshi, TZ – GEM family garden update – 29 Mar 2013

The Tupendane team helped the GEM family prepare their garden for the rainy season by adding more compost to the beds and mentoring about the benefits of mulching.  The garden is an example to the “earth basin” design which have a tendency to flood during any stint of rain.

By adding compost and mulch, the garden will have a better chance of retaining the much needed soil nutrients!
