Battambang, KH – Garden helps widow OSV provide for her three children – 16 Sep 2016

OSV is a widow living with her three children in Battambang province, Cambodia. Her organic garden feeds her family with vegetables every day and contributes to paying for their cost of living.

OSV’s husband passed away a few years ago leaving her with three school age children to take care of. She works tirelessly to provide her family with food and other necessities. The garden gives her and her family a consistent supply of vegetables and income which has reduced her burden a great deal. She earns US$2.50 to US$5 each week from selling her vegetables.

With her children growing older and needing support to start their own families, OSV is looking to increase her earnings by fattening piglets to sell in the market.
