Mt Kilimanjaro, TZ – Laurenti promoted to Lishe Bora Garden Lead – 1 Aug 2015

Lishe Bora has promoted Laurenti to Garden Program Lead. The promotion makes him responsible for ensuring that the Lishe Bora FAITH Garden program continues helping families improve their lives. He will be responsible for helping families start new gardens and for conducting mentoring visits for the ongoing success of the gardens.

Laurenti had been asking for a few months how he could increase his responsibilities and he welcomed the opportunity to take over the garden program. In addition to increased responsibilities Laurenti has also been offered increased opportunities. He is now eligible to receive a loan from Better Lives. Because he is an employee of a Better Lives’ partner, he can receive a loan at just 3% interest per year. Currently he is working on a loan request for a pig fattening loan.
