Independent Assessment
Molly’s Network has created a rigorous and independent accreditation scheme to endorse local organizations that are effective and achieve impact in their communities. Assessments are funded by Molly’s Network, but decision making is separate and managed by an independent Assessment Panel. If an organization passes the assessment, they are recognized as an accredited member of Molly’s Network. This provides a filter for people wanting to invest time, resources, and funds in local Tanzanian organizations.
Capacity Building
Molly’s Network also provides capacity building for organizations that do not meet accreditation standards. This includes mentoring, target planning, and other support necessary to help organizations improve effectiveness. To provide this support, Molly’s works with qualified volunteers and facilitates peer to peer support across organizations.
Background Story
Molly’s Network is named after Molly Joynson-Hicks, daughter of Paul and Catharine Joynson-Hicks. Molly died in an accident at the age of two, and Paul and Catharine were inspired by this tragedy to make more of a difference. They founded Molly’s Network as a result in 2010.
Molly’s Network main office is located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Many of the organizations it works with are also based in Dar es Salaam, although members come from across Tanzania. Additionally, NGOs from around the world have requested the organization to support and evaluate their local partners.
