Battambang, KH – New school gives hope – 20 Sep 2014
Hello, I am Rotha. I am studying in grade 10 at the private school named Dewey. Before I start to study at Dewey, my study schedule was too much busy but the quality was still low. In public school, beside study time we also needed to study extra classes to pass the exams. I didn’t even really have time to come home during day time. I left home in the early morning and came back in the evening.
Usually in Cambodia we go home to eat lunch and visit with our families, but since I started to study at Dewey, my life and studying have improved. I get good grades in the class; I am always one of the top five students in my grade. Last year, in grade 9, I was number 2 in my class. The teachers care about us a lot at Dewey. I study only in the morning at Dewey and I have times in the afternoon to study English and computer at Children’s Future International (CFI).
I believe that to study English and computer, I could get job easy. In the future I want to be a police officer. Right now there are not many women police officers in Cambodia, but I think it is really good if women can have powerful positions in our community.
