Caba, PH – TL family garden – 21 Jul 2013

The TL family home is located in the central area of the local mountains, about 5 kilometers away from the children’s school.  The family already have a vegetable garden, but wanted to extend it, so they joined the organic vegetable garden program.  They also hope to participate in the vegetable garden savings program because they want to improve their home, buy wood to make some furniture, and build a fish pond.  They currently support their family of five on under $4 per day by earning money from farming and carpentry.

They have the 100 square meters of land and water available from a spring, so the Happy Shop team started the garden, July 19, 2013 and provided the family with a watering can, sprayer, rake, spading fork, shovel, plastic cover for compost, plastic container, EM1, Molasses, Compost, and organic vegetable garden manual.  Tomato, Squash, String Beans, Upo, and Pechay seedlings were also provided by the shop.
